Rob started martial arts training at university in 1993 and achieved his 4th belt - Green Belt in Shotokan Karate. Rob then moved to a different part of the UK and started training at a Wado-Ryu Karate club. Again, achieving his 4th belt in this discipline before moving again.

Rob joined ECKA in 1997 and has been training in Milton Keynes with Mark Featherstone. After taking 2 years out off, he achieved 1st Dan in 2003.
